A Trip from Goa to Mumbai by Angriya Cruise
There are multiple you can plan your travel to Goa from Mumbai or vice versa. Name it as by Car, Bus, Train, Flight, and now by Sea. From October 2018, India's first Cruise Ship has been started from Mumbai - Goa - Mumbai.
I have also planned my trip to Goa by availing this Cruise Ship from Goa to Mumbai. What an awesome finisher for my Goa trip during this Diwali!
The Cruise Ship is named after admiral Kanoji Angre or Conajee Angria (1669 - 1729). He was the first Admiral of the Maratha Navy and was popularly known as 'Shivaji of the Indian Ocean'.

Basic Cruise & Booking Info:
Cruise Duration: 4 PM to 9 AM (both Mumbai to Goa & Goa to Mumbai)
Angriya Cruise Price (Ticket) cost:
- The cost varies based on the type of accommodations you choose inside the cruise. It starts at INR 4,300 per person (one-way trip). This basic accommodation comes with common washroom and with a small window. You can choose between four decks for choosing the right accommodation.
- If you choose a couple room, you would be sharing your room with four fellow passengers. The entire cost of the room is INR 7,500. You can enjoy a good view, thanks to the window, but, there is no attached washroom.
- Regardless of the type of accommodation, the ticket cost would include three meals (evening snacks, dinner and breakfast) i.e. INR 2000 per person. For infants age below 3 years, accommodation is free, while for a child with age 3 - 8 years, the meal charge is INR 1,000.
- The best way to book tickets is via the official site of Angriya cruise i.e. http://www.angriyacruises.com/
Angriya Cruise Onboarding:
The onboarding experience varies from Mumbai to Goa. The onboarding deck at Mumbai is entirely different from Goa. You can find the do's don'ts based on my experience:
Do's and Don'ts:
1. The onboarding process is very similar to flight onboarding process. Only 10 Kg. per person is allowed in bag check-in, while rest of all are to be bagged for cabin luggage. Hence, you won't have access to that bag. Please ensure packing accordingly.
2. Within ship payment by cash or card is not accepted. Hence you would have to purchase an Angriya Card during check-in only with a minimum of INR 2500 of recharge. The pending amount is been refunded while check-out.
3. There's a number of items are restricted during onboarding such as Food, Alchohol etc.
4. There's a restaurant at the check-in area at Goa, which is also served by Angriya. A must see. It has a very limited menu, but having your lunch with a sea view experience, by itself is awesome.
5. The location of Goa and Mumbai are given in the Website. The Customer Care of Angriya is found to be an area of improvement.
6. A major point of disappointment is the transport from the Goa Check-in terminal to the Ship by a Bus (non-AC). During the afternoon, sitting inside the bus is really terrible. You can plan to get onto the bus very late, just before leaving to minimize the hurdle.
7. The Discothek & Coffee counter are open till 4 AM. Hence, you can enjoy your stay till the time you can.
8. Apart from these, there are pretty cool areas such as Spa and Library for a change.
9. During my trip, the Live Band performed during the ship was one of the major entertainment.
10. The swimming pool experience is also a must, as it gives an awesome view of the sea from the deck while enjoying the pool.
11. The front deck is also a good area to spend time during Sunrise.
12. The duration of the travel is planned for a Sunset and Sunrise both. You can enjoy both the views on the deck.
13. The food served within the Ship is also pretty good. Few sample snaps of the Evening Snacks, Dinner & Breakfast can be found as follows. All are buffet, hence you can enjoy these by yourself.
You may find multiple informative pics of onboarding, departure and within the Cruise.
All the bset for your journey!!!
